for this installment of taro around tempe, here’s a pic of me leading my humans on a walk.
we were cutting through a parking lot in downtown tempe (the macayo’s depot cantina parking lot). all of a sudden i decided we needed to get to a more interesting part of tempe. i jumped out to the lead position so as to hurry my humans along. i gotta say, no matter what my humans think, i’m pretty sure the lead position is where i belong.
taken in october with hipstamatic app on an ipod touch. kai has the camera while tra is walking me.
a giant thank you to everyone who’s following our blog!
we had our 200th post here yesterday and have cleared 30,000 pic views on flickr (100+/day). my humans enjoy putting these together as a way of breaking up the tedium of the workday. and, of course, i enjoy the extra attention.
we hope you’ve enjoyed my many activities and antics. and, we’re looking forward to what we can share with you in the future as well as looking forward to interacting with you further. thanks again!
For my shiba crush, Kicho (@puppypiranha)…
I saw this next to Mitchell dog park today. I made my human stop and take a picture of me and the heart. My pack and I continue to think of you often. And we hope that you and your pack feels the love of all the twiba (twitter shiba) community.
Sending you shiba kisses and wishing you shiba strength, -taro.
One more day and I’ll take this town lake and turn it into the pacific ocean.
Or, I’ll just arrive in San Francisco for my vacation.
One of the two.
Choose whichever one sounds more impressive.
Only cure for my post-hanging-with-Prince-Zuko-the-shiba depression?
A play date with shiba siblings, Mika and Rinji (@shiba_rinji)!
We had tons of fun tonight. Rinji and I sure ran each other hard and we tired quickly in the warm Arizona afternoon. And tired shibas = happy humans!
my good friend, shiba rinji, announced on twitter that, according to the vet, rinji’s ear drum had ruptured. this makes me quite sad, but i’m glad that the vet has finally located the source of rinji’s ear problems.
hopefully he’ll be on the mend soon; i want to play! to wish him a speedy recovery, i’m sharing some pics from our recent two playdates together.
there are even more pics from our recent playdates on flickr, so check out this set (which includes a couple of shots of rinji’s big sis, mika) when you have a chance!
feel better soon, rinji!
it’s another taro shiba bad photo friday. and this week i have crazy stick-chomp eyes.
what can i say? i’m a leader in the war on sticks. sometimes i get a crazed look in my eyes in the heat of battle. i’m fine with it, even if the photographic result doesn’t portray me as distinguished as i am in profile.
bonus photo: posing with yet another trophy in the war on sticks.
it’s another taro shiba bad photo friday!
this week, you’re seeing me at the height of my profession as a stick connoisseur. sadly, not all sticks are created equal. i stick my tongue out in disapproval.
but, even though i disapprove of the stick’s quality, you are still not allowed to take my stick from me. the following may not be the cutest pic, but it shows my personality. in this pic (on flickr), i’m daring kai to try take my stick from me. and, as you would guess, he tried and failed. stupid humans… they just don’t learn.
bonus bad pic: taro shiba squinting in the morning sun.
it’s a taro shiba goofy photo friday!
sometimes when my humans are downstairs (2nd level), i go upstairs to the landing near the bedrooms. i often wait for them. sometimes i stare at them from my lookout point [okay, i do that a lot]. other times, i pass out waiting for them. this was one of those times.
here’s a good pic of me waiting like the good lil shiba that i am. [on flickr]
