i’m not sure how many of you are familiar with the animal called slow loris. however, one slow loris was a youtube sensation for being adorable and for being happily tickled/rubbed on its chest and armpits. here’s that youtube video:
my pack enjoys that video quite a bit, even though all i can think of when i see a slow loris is a giant-eyed, plush squeaky toy, just waiting to be chewed on.
be that as it may, for the latest installment in our series, we recreated the slow loris tickle video.
my pack and i proudly present… “TARO SHIBA IS…SLOW LORIS.” we hope you enjoy it.
you can continue to follow the silly antics of taro the shiba & pack by doing the following:
My humans just made this video of me resting up for our shiba-meetup this afternoon.
The song is the Ben Folds cover of the Beatles’ Golden Slumbers. May all your slumbers be golden, as well.
while my taro shiba video ad is processed by youtube, i bring you a playful video of shibas rinji (puppy!), mika and i.
since rinji is now bigger than me, i don’t know if being chased by him will be as much fun as it was then. i guess we’ll see during our next playdate!

here are three videos that my humans took of zuko and i playing when i visited him in san francisco.
taro and zuko play with a tennis ball
taro and zuko play tug of war
zuko chews his fleecy clean
in case you missed it before, you can see video of us chewing our himalayan dog chews here.

i bring news back from the front lines of the fight for shiba world domination.
first, bit.ly (a link-shortening service) reviewed its many links to see if, out of all cute animals, kitties rule the internet. the result? by their calculations, dogs earned a total of 37% of the cute animal set. and, with that 37%, we have a more than 50% lead on the second-place finisher cats. so, dogs are the cutest animal on the internet and we dominate the cute animal discussion. i consider this a big win for dog- and shiba-kind (of course, our cuteness is just a ploy to gain more power and noms, but we’ll just keep that a secret for now).
second, zuko the shiba now has a livestream zuko cam on veetle. this means that humans can be distracted from their jobs and pay attention to prince zuko all day instead. this is a great day for all shibas, and it brings our shiba prince more of the attention he deserves so well.
speaking of well-deserved, i’m taking a nap. world domination is tough work.
because we’re bored or because we’re too tired to run the shiba 1000 together, sometimes kiyomi and i just calmly play on the couch. the photo above and this photo here show, in pieces, what some of our calm-playing looks like.
of course, if you prefer, you can just watch it in video format.
it’s a shiba video monday!
kiyomi shiba likes to play in the sprinklers. she think’s they’re fun to attack.
this time, we don’t just have an ‘after sprinkler attack’ photo (like the one above), but we have video evidence of our little shiba monster attacking the sprinkler.
you can see the video over on flickr. enjoy!
